Mon premier grand voyage. Parti de Göteborg en juillet 2025 sur Laurine, j'ai descendu le Kattegat et la Baltique jusqu'à Kiel, emprunté le canal vers la mer du Nord, traversé les canaux des Pays-Bas, la Manche et l'Atlantique, puis remonté le Canal des Deux Mers pour rejoindre la Méditerranée. Dix mois, dont cinq de pause à Audierne, 68 escales, et une école de la mer dont je ne soupçonnais pas la richesse.

My first big voyage. Cast off from Göteborg in July 2025 aboard Laurine, I sailed down the Kattegat and the Baltic to Kiel, took the canal into the North Sea, threaded the Dutch canals, crossed the Channel and the Atlantic, then climbed the Canal des Deux Mers to reach the Mediterranean. Ten months, five of them moored in Audierne, 68 ports, and a school of the sea unlike any other.

Traversée entre amis. Rado III, un Bénéteau First 35S5, devait rejoindre Bergen ; j'étais le second sur ce trajet. Quatorze jours pour couper la mer du Nord, longer la côte écossaise puis remonter vers la Norvège. Un vrai aperçu de la nav au large et par mauvais temps.

A trip with friends. Rado III, a Bénéteau First 35S5, was heading for Bergen and I sailed her as first mate. Fourteen days to cut across the North Sea, up the Scottish then Norwegian coasts. A first real taste of offshore sailing in rough weather.

Ma première mission de skipper professionnel. Innatendu, un 10,7 m, doit rejoindre Lisbonne. La route descend la Manche par Cherbourg et Guernesey, contourne la pointe Bretagne, traverse le Golfe de Gascogne et longe la côte ibérique. Sept escales, environ trois semaines. Le départ est imminent.

My first professional skipper mission. Innatendu, a 10.7 m sloop, is bound for Lisbon. The route runs down the Channel via Cherbourg and Guernsey, around the Brittany peninsula, across the Bay of Biscay and along the Iberian coast. Seven ports, about three weeks. Setting sail soon.

Qui je suis Who I am

Développeur de formation, ingénieur, et désormais marin. J'ai découvert la voile en Méditerranée, trois semaines comme équipier auprès d'amis qui m'ont tout appris. Je porte ce rêve depuis cinq ans. Depuis juillet 2025, je navigue sur Laurine, mon Laurin Koster 28.

Software engineer by training, sailor by choice. I discovered sailing during three weeks in the Mediterranean, crewing alongside friends who taught me everything. I have carried this dream for five years. Since July 2025, I have been sailing Laurine, my Laurin Koster 28.

Pourquoi je navigue Why I sail

Un jour, j'ai fait un rêve. Je naviguais avec mon père, à bord d'un petit bateau en Bretagne, vers Saint-Malo. Je ne l'ai jamais connu. J'ai suivi ce rêve.

One night, I dreamt I was sailing with my father, aboard a small boat in Brittany, heading toward Saint-Malo. I never knew him. I followed the dream.

Un voyage d'initiation. Je suis parti avec seulement trois semaines de Méditerranée comme équipier. Depuis, j'ai appris énormément : la voile, bien sûr, mais aussi l'architecture navale, l'électricité, la plomberie, l'entretien, la sécurité, les systèmes du bord.

An initiation voyage. I left with only three weeks of Mediterranean crewing under my belt. Since then I have learned a tremendous amount : sailing, of course, but also naval architecture, electrics, plumbing, maintenance, safety, and the systems aboard.
